Hello. My name is ***. I was involved in an employment scam.I recently started applying on indeed and with there easy to apply methods I applied to many jobs. One job I applied to reach out to me. It was an Adminstrative position in Cedar Grove NJ. When I got this I did some research and found it was a real company and was legit. I replyed back saying I was intrested and then they reply the next day that got the job. I was suspious as to why I got a job I didnt interview for but I was too distrated by the $800 a week they would offer for a part time job. They said they were out of town and that they would eventually meet up with me for a formal interview but for now I had to do some errands for them and I would get paid for it. I had to sign a consent form with my phone number, address zipcode and signature consenting to accepting the job offer.I unfortunely gave them this info because so many jobs ask for this information and I thought it was ok but most jobs dont ask for this info by email. I told my friends about it and they sugested it might be fraud. I called the company just in caused and the next day the company told me that they were hacked and hackers posted fraud job offers online and I should ignore the fraud if they try to contact me again.

I got a new email from them that was not the company email which was [email protected] like the last emails. The new email was [email protected] didnt address the email change.

On the orignal email the persons name was Jessie. In gmail the persons name was amy and in the text they sent me the person name was ted.

There newest email they sent me was that they are sending me a check and I just have to deposit it into my acount. This was suppose to be my first pay check and for me to start my first errand to buy toys for charity. The job I applied to was an Adminstrative Assistant in and office full time, not part time. This person just text me to tell them when the check arrives. Im not sure what to do. The check has not arrived and I will not deposit it into my account when it comes because I know thats how they get your info. They have my email, phone number, and address and I just want them reported and not to bother me again.
