Martin Construction of Owego is owned by Roger Martin. You may also search for Martin Construction at Facebook.com to read about multiple people he has scammed. He lists himself in home improvement websites like Angie's list, Porch and Homeadvisor to solicit home improvement contracts. When they introduce you to him, you may feel that he is kosher, but remember that the websites take a commission from him, but they do not take any responsibility for the performance of the contract. He then provides a quote and takes a substantial amount as advance to purchase materials. After that he gradually disappears until you give up on him. He is a judgment debtor in the Supreme Court of Tompkins County, but he has no known assets and nothing can be recovered from him. Please read the NYS Attorney General's instructions about employing general contractors before employing any contractor through any website or other advertising materials.
