Company said they were from Mariott Hotels and asked if I was 35 or older. I said "Yes" and it immediately went to more hold music. Having read about this scam online I unfortunately remembered this too late and felt duped.

I received an automated phone call identifying itself as Marriott Hotels. I was informed I won an all inclusive stay at one of their hotels. I was asked to press 1 to claim my prize or press 2 to be removed from the do not call list. -- I read in the news there is a scam hoping you will press a number and be recorded as an "active" number. I hung up.

I have been called three times by an agency claiming to be ''Marriott Hotels'' and was called today again at 5:41pm. After the first time, around early March, I called the real Marriott Hotels and they stated to me that it was probably a scam and that they never make cold calls. The scammers called at this number: 716-940-1342, and used a local area code. I have not yet listened to any of the calls all the way through. I have reported this to the Federal Trade Commission and the IRS as of yet.
