Tried to scam us on renting a house

He sends a email that sounds caring concerned and fishy then add God in the email. He have you to think he going to rent you this property in Richmond va but I was smart enough to search him up and find out he’s a fraud scammer don’t believe this man he gonna take your money. Also pay attention to the contact number it only has 6 digits 😂 smh head moving and relocating is hard enough then you have to watch out for ppl like this.

I had a very similar experience to the other 2 reports of rental scam from Mark Zapata [email protected]

Please see the pictures attached to view the email he sent to me regarding the house.

Luckily I did not believe his email and I’m hoping to prevent others from being scammed.

I also was on Craigslist looking for houses for rent or rent to own & I came across one that was supposedly owned by Mark & his wife. They supposedly relocated to TX and couldn’t show me the home in person, this was a red flag! Then he also stated he didn’t have a realtor or anyone working with him & the same home was clearly on every reality site for sale. Luckily for me I did my research and I came across this page! It’s a SCAM! just wanted to share my experience as well! Be careful!

I was on Craigslist looking for a home to rent and I came across a post that I liked. So I contacted the guy to try to rent the home he had posted. He messaged me back and said him and his wife would send me a rental application. For me to fill out and send to him and they would decide if they would like me to rent there home. So I did all that. Put my ssn number on there and my license number bc at the time I had no idea. The next day he said they approved me because they liked my application. Then he proceeded to tell me to send him the security deposit of 700 thru Walmart. Then he would send me the lease agreement and the keys. Thats when I knew something wasn't right and looked more into it and found out it was a scam.
