I found a beagle puppy advertised online at Marcusbeaglepuppies.com. I spoke via phone and text to the owner, Marcus Mustapha, a.k.a, Mustapha Momulou, and agreed to purchase the puppy puppy for $550, transportation $200, and spaying $70, total of $820. I signed a bill of sale agreement with him on 6-27-19 (copy available upon request. Paid as directed via Zelle (big mistake). Puppy was to ship on July 1, 2019, via a company named Paramount Air County (https://paramountaircounty.com. Both websites are quite sophisticated and professional. Both companies contact point on the phone sounded like the same person with a very heavy East Indian or Arab accent. Paramount send emails indicating the puppy was to be transported today (7-1-19). At 10am today I received email from them stating that I need to pay (only via Western Union), $1130 ina "refundable pet insurance" prior to shipping (copy of this email available upon request). I had already suspected a scam over the weekend and fount multiple scam complaints about Marcus Beagle Puppies. I refused to pay this ridiculous (and most likely non-existent fee, and demanded a refund of my $820, to BOTH companies via text and email. No response.
