I placed an order on March 2, 2025 on mapleleafssportingshop.com for a hockey jersey, paying $150 by credit card. The charge appeared on my statement as "Origin Media LLC," which has no connection to the website I ordered from. After 32 days with no shipping confirmation or tracking number, my order status remained "payment accepted" with no further updates. When I reached out, I received a vague response from [email protected] — a completely different domain than the site I purchased from — stating they would contact the warehouse. No follow-up or tracking was ever provided.
I subsequently found a report on this site from a victim who was scammed through bluejacketsfanstore.com using the identical [email protected] customer service email and receiving the same automated "contacting the warehouse" response. I believe mapleleafssportingshop.com and bluejacketsfanstore.com are part of the same coordinated operation running multiple fake NHL team storefronts. I have filed reports with the BBB, FTC, and IC3, and have disputed the charge with my credit card issuer.
Do not order from mapleleafssportingshop.com or any site billing through "Origin Media LLC."
