I paid for a manual I gave never received then found an unauthorised payment of £89.95 had been removed from my account..
The company's reply is that this is their terms. Yet theses are not openly advertised leading you to believe you are only paying for one manual. There is no way you are able to cancel this subscription that they will take every two months as the company say it is automatically generated.
Total con underhanded and deliberately misleading
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

I WAS LOOKING FOR THE MANUAL FOR A 2004 JEEP WRANGLER AND ORDERED IT FROM MANUALFINDERS.COM FOR $5.95. I NEVER GOT IT BUT WAS BILLED $69.95 ON MY CREDIT CARD, CAUSING ME TO DENY THE CHARGE AND CANCLE THE CARD. I tried contacting them at [email protected] but got no help. PLEASE BE AWARE AND READ SOME OF THE REVIEWS.

The original cost stated 0.95. I later got a notification from my credit card company with a fraudulent charge of 69.95! I would have in no way agreed to pay that if it been listed as the cost. After I contacted them, this the response I received. Please see a paragraph from our terms of use to clarify the service fee for using our services:

Paid personal assistance service.

Discovery offer of 7 days at 0.95 USD (AUD;CAD) with an unlimited number of requests.

Your subscription to our service is configured by default to be renewed automatically at the end of your discovery period for a period of two months, with tacit renewal.

Your bi-monthly subscription is charged 69.95 USD (AUD;CAD) and your credit card will be debited with this amount.

You can disable this automatic renewal, and thus terminate your subscription, at any time during its entire term, this request will take effect at the end of your current subscription period.

For more information, please refer to our terms and conditions.

We also inform you that the price information relating to this subscription policy has been available to you on several occasions in the Terms and Conditions (validated during the payment) as well as on the home page, section premium plan.

In small print, about 1/4 the size of the $0.95 price is the information of their recurring $69.95 charge. This is their address: 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, England, WC1N 3AX

I was looking for an instruction manual for a garage storage cabinet. A check on manualfinders.com indicated they found my manual, and I could download it for $0.95. I did that, and paid with a credit card. Turns out they could not find my manual after all, and sent me a PDF for "something similar" they found. This was on May 3, 2023. Then on May 10th they charged my card $69.95, and again they charged my card $69.95 on April 10th. I have cancelled that card and reported the charged as fraud. Apparently when I paid the $0.95 charge for the download and provided them my credit card, this activated a subscription service for $69.95/month. The emails they sent me when I ordered my manual did not mention anything about this, nor did I see any indication that I was agreeing to a subscription when I was ordering the manual. This is extremely dishonest business practice.
