Manpower Reports & Reviews (1)

I got an email from Manpower Group about a job, the email asked me to send an email to [email protected] to conduct an interview. Why I didn't see the red flags, I don't know. So I sent an email to him for an interview. He asked me to get on Google Hangouts and he would conduct the interview there.

No SSI numbers were asked for, he asked for my name and address to confirm my resume. He asked basic questions about my job history and then wanted to know how I would like to be paid, what bank I used (I have changed my password) for direct deposit.

He told me that I got the job, working from home, and a list of equipment that they would be sending to do this job. Then he said that He would be sending me a check next week to purchase said equipment. I asked why he would be doing this, when he said they would send me the equipment, he said that it was a way to make sure the vendor info was on the laptop. I told him I have never had to do this this way before (I have the whole conversation from Google Hangouts saved).

Then he called at 8:50: Doug called me from 904-834-6714 and requested that I purchase a $100 dollar gift card from Walmart. He will send me my offer letter for work on Monday, Tuesday I will send him the gift card to be used on the purchase of the laptop from Manpower and on Wednesday he will send me my check to purchase the laptop.

I told him I will be reporting him to the better business bureau.
