I was on the search for a WFH job due to no help with assistance and unable to have funds for daycare for our children. I got this offer and it seemed perfect with the kids schedules with school, sports etc. So, I took the job after doing a "phone interview" with HR. She introduced it as a international shipping company and I looked up the company and the website for the UK came up. I didn't think much of it seems she stated they were an international company so I figured that they were a branch from the UK and just started in the states,too. They got me all set up on the dashboard to view all documents of rules and how to do things. After receiving only my FIRST package my husband was contacted by a police dept here in MI that's a couple hours from where we live in MI. The officer said that my name was the receiver on packages purchased from a stolen credit card. I shared all of the info with him that I had as to numbers, emails and things...As the days went on I looked more and more into things and printed of ALL communication and documents with anyone from the company. I called HR and left a voicemail that I needed to discuss an urgent matter with them, but to this day I still have had no response. I called my shipping supervisor and got ahold of him and he told me "not to worry, it must be a mistake." I received an unknown package from FedEx on my front steps not on my dashboard and took it upon myself to contact the "customer" name and number on the package. The name seemed familiar. When I made contact with her she verified she was NOT expecting a package and that her CC info was stolen and was reported to police after receiving a email greeting someone by a different name. I then contacted our local authorities about the matter. He told me to send the package back to the sender and dont accept anymore. That's what I did. Apparently, me telling them I do not want to receive anymore packages is INCONVENIENT for them. Well....I have copies of everything. I did not lose any money and I have put a freeze on my bank account with an appointment to close it due to them having that information for pay reasons. However, I did NOT fill out tax papers because the cops made me aware to watch for anything suspicious. So, I did and noticed a TON of things wrong with labels and the incoming and outgoing info on the labels.
