As a freelance graphic designer, I'm always looking for a job, to make a living.
I've google the company name and his name, the company exist, he exists as CEO.
So I've replied both SMS and email, he emailed me back about the job assignment and he is traveling to US and want to set up a meeting in 2 weeks near my home. He described his needs very briefly. And 4 days later he sending me a casher check via FEDEX for an advance payment ($***/week) and required equipment total of $***! Then he texted me if I have received the check, even he called me with deep african accent english... I said You are not Patric Carr!! You are fake!! I speak Chinese to him and he cannot understand... What an [censored].
It was suspicious from beginning because the detail is so ambiguous, and became really suspicious receiving a real casher check, so I've googled/researched about same sort of activities which was reported and found out it can be a casher check scam.
Fortunately I DIDN'T DEPOSIT the check into my bank account!!
