The scammer is otherwise known as Jack Antony or [email protected]. I stumbled upon the Majestic Maine [censored] Cattery website and filled out an online kitten request form for a kitten named Larisa. The scammer contacted me by both text at the number +1 (774) 271-7692 and email the next day sending pictures of the cat and requesting personal information (name, address, and phone number) to initiate the adoption and delivery of the kitten. They also asked me questions about my household and veterinary services to ensure I was the right person to be adopting the kitten. Once the personal information was sent, they then responded requesting $800 for the kitten ($200 in transportation fees and $600 for the kitten itself). I sent the money to the owner via Venmo under the username @Brandon-Vannaman, which eventually changed to @milkymia. After the scammer confirmed they received the money, they told me they would contact the travel agency and initiate the paperwork as soon as possible. The travel agency is known as Minext Forwarding Logistics. Although there is a website for the so-called company, there is no necessary information, such as phone number or address. This is when I knew I was being scammed. The scammer texted me and said the paperwork for the travel agency was complete. I, then, received an email from Minext Pet Delivery Service asking me to confirm my personal information and gave the following information regarding the flight Larisa would be on:

PNR: GFD00005A

Status: Pending

Air Craft: KY79CM

Going Out Flight - E - TICKET - 1st Class Economic Flight

Flight Number: 6E 352 - Coach Class (Seat 25F)

I waited for the kitten's arrival the next day, which we were told would be 5:30 pm. The kitten did not arrive, so I contacted the scammer and asked for more details on the travel agency and cattery (they could not provide). The same night, we got another email from Minext Pet Delivery Service requesting $2,000 to ensure the kitten would have an air-conditioned carrier. I refused to pay the extra money and contacted the scammer again, telling them I knew what they were doing. They offered to pay half of the price for the carrier because the request was "unexpected". They said they would see if the pastor from their church would help cover the cost. They also tried to guilt-trip me by telling me they were in the hospital. I again refused to pay the money and told them I knew they were scamming me. Afterwards, they did not contact me again.

I came across a website looking to purchase a Maine [censored] cat (https://majesticmainecooncattery.com) and filled out the "Contact Us" option. A person identified himself as Jack Antony sent an email from [email protected] asking additional questions to help complete the sale (do you have children? do you own or rent your home? your address? etc.) I also sent a text message back to the number of 774-271-7692, explaining next steps involving the delivery of the kitten to my house. I paid $800 via Zelle to Nita C, email: [email protected]. I started getting nervous once I actually took a step back and started recognizing the warning signs involved here. I asked for a confirmation/proof of purchase/receipt, but all communications ceased thereafter.
