Mainstreat Marketing Reports & Reviews (1)

I received an automated call on my cellphone stating that my google business page was flagged for deletion and to press 1 to speak to a representative. A person named Canicia Barton answered and started asking me a series of questions regarding my business listing. She was very vague when I asked her what was causing my page being flagged for deletion by google. She said it was missing information. When I let her know I had verified my business with google more than a year ago, she kept asking questions. I gave her information such as business address, my full name, business phone number, and hours of operation. She then said that in order to fix this I had to pay either $200 for the google package, or $299 for the google, bing, and apple maps package and then she asked me how I wanted to pay. I asked her to send me the invoice so I could verify that they were indeed working with google. I received the invoice and it was from Mainstreat marketing. I told her I needed to call google to see what was going on since the invoice didn't come from google. She let me know that google doesn't have an inbound and outbound line for customer issues regarding business listings on google. I hung up with her and called google. They let me know that they do not work directly with Mainstreat Marketing at all. That they never charge money for the business listings services, and that if there were any issues, a google representative would call me. I called Mainstreat marketing again and a person quickly hung up on me when I explained what was going on. Canica called me again on my cell phone and I asked to talk to her supervisor. Her supervisor's name is Corey Bennet. I told him how they deceivingly called me with false information trying to get me to give them my credit card information and agree to a service that was not sold to me in a truthful manner. I let him know that I contacted google and they let me know there was nothing wrong with my business listing and that what Canica said was basically a lie. He then proceeded to try to explain to me why they called in the first place, but what he said was never part of my initial interaction with Canica. When I asked him why they would say they work with google as their partner he would only try to give me other information as to why they called, but never addressing the deceiving way in which Canica was phishing for information that included my credit card and expiration date. He did not apologize for their business practices and he said they have been around for a long time and that he saw nothing wrong with how his company conducts business.
