Type of a scam Online Purchase
The shippers -Express Animal Delivery- then said they would not ship the kitten without a specialized crate that was never agreed upon in the transaction. Shippers said they needed $1000.00 deposit and would then reimburse 98% of the deposit with the shipment of the kitten. Reimbursement would be made by cash or check. Upon learning that the company has past scam reports on the web, we refused to continue further with the transaction, requested the kitten be returned to the breeder, and the breeder, Maine [censored]haus return the $500.00.
It has been several days since request for the kitten, if in deed it is real, to be returned to the breeder. The shippers have not responded that they no longer have a kitten and the breeder has not confirmed that they have the kitten. The kitten has failed to be produced. Reimbursement was formally requested to be returned to my nephew with in the next 24 hours on Dec. 30th. I also notified the breeder that the shippers were reported as a scam and that her business would be as well if payment was not returned. On the Dec 31, 2020
the breeder did send a confirmation email that she would refund the money, however she wants 90 days to do so.
The shippers - Express Animal Delivery has also been reported. It is unknown at this time if the "Cattery" is a victim of the shippers, or if they are working together with the "shippers" or if they are both running separate scams. Both used Zelle as their payment method. I would just like my nephew to be paid back the money he has been saving in basic training to get his money back.
