I am currently an employee that works for Magic Moments Wedding Venues. I’m unsure if I’m complaining in the right place but I just feel as if something must be done concerning certain situations currently happening and has been happening for years which everyone higher up turns a blind eye to. Our supervisor her name is Jennifer Newberry needs to be investigated as she has has been pocketing our tip money gifted by our bridal clients personally. I have observed them stating it’s for the staff, but no staff members have received it. It’s very complicated to go to anyone to complain on her even HR as she has access to everything and seems to be in charge or involved in every aspect of the company almost to bd able to monitor things and cover her tracts if anyone says anything. Even though we have an HR department she interviewed me, did orientation, training, gave me my base pay, she comes to the venues to oversee each event..especially the high clientele events that she knows will tip or pay out to the staff. I have also heard from other staff members she overcharged clients on certain items so she can pocket the extra money, lowers pay to gain some form of profit off of it and the craziest of all is she has been impersonating my old co-worker Nancia Amaya-Gomez. She went on maternity leave and she has been using her likeness to speak as if she’s her and email clients to impersonate her in order to gain customers as Nancia was one of the highest rated Wedding Directors. I have been informed she went on maternity leave and put in her notice months ago yet a bride told me she was in communication with her. All this is just so odd and Nancia deserves to be notified of this get all the back pay/compensated since she’s been literally using her identity keeping her in the system in order to do gain high clients and abundance of funds, she also needs stop taking staff tips, we be allowed a way to speak/complain freely without repercussions, etc…the whole thing around Jennifer needs to be investigated. She’s been at this company for over 22 years yet no one seems to want to speak up about it, they just turn a blind eye like it’s ok and sweep it under the rug as she’s been getting away from this for so many years. I want to shine a light like a whistleblower because it just feels like fraud to the highest extent. This might even go deeper then I know or what’s being said my staff members. All I know is it don’t feel right at all.
