MagicOceanBox Reports & Reviews (12)

I purchased 5 items from MagicOceanBox, which were described as knitted cardigans and cotton and linen tops. What I received was synthetic rubbish. I contacted them, and they apologised and assured me that I can get a refund. That sounded hopeful but that's where it ended. They then said I have to pay for the shipping, in spite of the items being significantly different to the original description. Reluctantly I paid out a further $33 for the shipping, only to have the goods returned to me 2 months later. The company refused to collect the returned package. Since my attempt to resolve the problem with the seller was unsuccessful, I applied to PayPal to get assistance getting a refund. A month on PayPal rejected my claim because I did not have evidence of MagicOceanBox collecting the parcel I returned. When I asked them to assist me to return the items and get my refund they just closed my case. PayPal have gone down in service provision, and no longer provide the support to the purchasers. In fact they are working in cahoots with a scamming business. Attached photo is the returned parcel from China and rejection of the case by PayPal

As with everyone else here, I ordered multiple items from MagicOceanBox (YK Syndar), only to have horrible reproductions with low quality materials arrive. I complained to Paypal, only to be offered a nominal refund. I tried negotiating for at least half and was then only able to return the items on my expense, which totaled almost $80!

Around this time, I found that MyOceanBox had shut down its website. Then last week I discovered that it redirects to Cheerlinker (https://cheerlinker.com/). Beware! They are offering the same products and will likely result in the same scam.

Paypal has done NOTHING to help correct the situation, and their buy protection plan is meaningless. It is very disappointing.

Like all the other comments here, I ordered 5 items and not one of them fit properly, and not one of them resembled the pictures on the website. TOTAL SCAM! I disputed this with PayPal, and they denied my dispute. I am VERY disappointed with Paypal.

Do not order from Magic Ocean Box (YK Sindar). I ordered leather boots, but what came was clearly cheap man-made material that looked completely different than the picture. They were also about two sizes too small. The company offered only a 15% refund if I didn’t want to send the products all the way back to China. (The return address for the package was in Delaware. I escalated the case to PayPal and they were able to get a promise a full refund however I still was going to have to send the package to China, which is very expensive).

Do not order from them. It is false advertising and cheaply made in China. The products looked legit but the embroidered coat was print, cheaply made, probably by slave labor. I thought I was buying nice products from Britain. That was false, The large jacket's sleeves were so tight I could not get my arms in it. I ordered a pair of boots too which have not arrived yet and I shudder at what might arrive. I'm having problems finding how to return or get a refund. It is a fraudulent company.

This is their MO. I order a blue jacket size small. Received a green and orange blouse size large shoddily made. When I disputed this, they offered to let me keep it for 20% refund. I refused and demanded a full refund. They said mail it back. It was mailed from Texas, but I had to mail it back to China, which would cost about half or more of what I paid. I disputed with Paypal, which just offered the same refund if I returned what I did not order and pay for the return. Still disputing. I hope that Paypal will cut them off. I am also reporting to VISA, but haven't heard back from them yet.

Ordered this beautiful sweater, instead I got something that I could have bought in a thrift store. I payed $58 for it . When I contacted them they told me that it was the sweater that was in the picture. But I printed the picture . They still refused to give me my money back!

I ordered a sweater from them and got a cheap sweater instead of the one in the picture,

I bought a beautiful scarf because on online item image. Got back a scrap of polyester looking nothing like online picture. It's complete crap. Cost $32! Was intended as a gift but is too ugly to even dust with.

I ordered two items one was a mid calf length chunky hooded cardigan. This item bore no resemblance to the item advertised, it was short thin shoddy and cheap looking. In fact it was so horrible I would feel unable to put into a charity bag. Having read other reviews, I see it is unlikely I will get my money back. A total scam.

I saw an ad on Facebook from MagicOceanBox for an item of clothing. I went to the website and it looked legit... the site said it was based in the UK. When the product arrived, it was NOTHING like it was advertised. Totally false advertising. The product appeared to be a knitted jacket, and it was advertised as such. It came as a flimsy material that was not knitted, nor was it a jacket. I tried contacting the company for a refund, and they said I would need to ship the product back to them -- to CHINA! Unbelievable. I contacted Facebook to let them know, and I hope my message gets to the right people there (which is another story). Please let people know MagicOceanBox is a total scam, and let Facebook know, so that others are not scammed.

I have just gone through the same experience as you . They are out to scam innocent buyers . The goods I received was just junk I would be ashamed even to give them to a charity shop . They asked me to except 10 percent back off what I paid and give the jackets to friends as presents are they kidding lol I got a shock when I found out that I had to return them to China and pay the postage the site said it was based in the UK They also said it could be up to 50 days before I could get my money back returned to me .
