I am located in Florida and was looking to adopt 2 kittens from this seller. Before sending any money, I got a photo of the sellers ID which was a Maryland ID. I paid $700, a $350 down payment for each kitten was required - I sent this money through Zelle. When it was time for them to be shipped, I received an email stating the cats needed a special electronic air conditioned travel crate. This seemed fishy because it was a $2500 rental fee which would be refunded after the kittens arrived. The seller did not make me aware of this cost and I asked him to pay the refundable fee and he got very defensive and acted as though he couldn't trust me. I was contacted by the "courier" service that was supposed to ship the kittens and they could not give me any proof whatsoever to ease my mind about this outrageous rental fee. This is where I drew the line.
