Fake company called Magala, S.r.l
I was assigned to be employed at Magala, S.r.l. by online hiring processes and I was offered to held a position within the company. However, during my time of only one month there, I discovered several concerning practices that have led me to tender my resignation and bring this matter to your attention.
Firstly, I was hired under the impression that my responsibilities would primarily focus on real estate-related tasks, as that is my area of expertise. However, I consistently received assignments and projects that were unrelated to my field. Most alarmingly, I was instructed to receive checks on behalf of the company and deposit them into my personal bank account. These activities raised red flags as they seemed highly suspicious, unethical, and potentially illegal. As an employee, I am not authorized to handle financial transactions on behalf of the company, especially not through personal accounts.
Moreover, there was a severe lack of communication and support from the company. When I attempted to discuss my concerns with the representative named Fortuna Grassi, who was supposedly in charge, my efforts were met with silence. Additionally, my salary payments were issued in the form of checks from an unrelated entity named "Chipotle Restaurant," rather than being associated with Magala, S.r.l. This inconsistency in payment methods raised doubts about the legitimacy and transparency of the company's financial operations. Furthermore, my salary remains outstanding, and I have not received the compensation I am owed.
Considering the circumstances, I have made the decision to resign from my position at Magala, S.r.l. to protect my professional integrity and personal well-being. I have also taken steps to report my experiences to the relevant authorities, including your esteemed department, to ensure the prevention of further victims falling prey to this employment scam.
