We purchased event tickets to a valentine's murder mystery dinner which was advertised for a catered meal, entertainment and drinks. We arrived and none of that was delivered. The entertainment of murder mystery dinner was never enacted. The hors doevre was frozen shrimp from a grocery store still in the plastic party tray and day old chicken on solo plates thrown on a table after 2 hours of arriving. We sat there for an hour without any drinks, water or other activities that were advertised.The staff were crying and upset. The "bartender" had a bag of ice from the 7-11 and was scooping it with a cup. The wine was rose boxed wine and the beer was being pulled from the cardboard containers they just bought at a local store to appease the crowd. Lux had 2 valentine events that evening and both were a fail. I have emails and confirmation of a refund that has never occured. They had knowledge of issues hours prior and never contacted anyone nor canceled the event. There are also other people that are willing to discuss this event and feel that fraud has been taking place with this company on other events as well. The image is after over 2 and half hours of waiting with wine out of a box, no ice, red solo cups and plates, and we saw people coming in with aluminum foil over glass pans as if someone had cooked it in their homes. I have emails, and a few other pictures. I also have what was promised on the event planning page. The murder mystery never took place and 90 percent of the guests had left before we saw that there were plates of "food" on a table in the other room just tossed on their like we were at an outdoor barbeque. The whole event was horrible and I felt bad for the employees who kept saying sorry and that other people had dropped the ball. The decorations were dollar tree roses and battery votives. This is the first I have ever reported anyone but the way that LUX events is responding to my requests is completely unprofessional and uncalled for. Thank you.
