I was contacted via my home phone by a company called the LSC Group. They told me I had won $900,000 and warned me not to provide anyone with details of the winning or my credit cards or social security numbers. They told me to contact the National Gaming Commission at ###-###-#### to confirm their legitimacy. The website is nearly a carbon copy of the Nevada Gaming Commision's website. I contacted the Nevada commission, a legitimate government agency, and they confirmed it was fraud.

Tim Vanderbilt, LSC Group, called to say I won $975,000. He said I entered a sweepstakes, and they've been trying to get ahold of me. He said to call and remain on the line. He said I should keep it confidential and not tell people. He said his number was 888-861-4297, but that I should call 866-734-1459. He said if I call the number, I would be instructed to go to the post office and verify my identity. He said I have a file and a claim number. My caller ID said "private".
