I was attempting to get information about cryptocurrency online. I submitted my name and phone number and received a call within minutes . the person identified himself as Mathew Schnider and said he was associated with LPL Finance . While talking to him I checked into LPL online and it was a large and reputable firm based in the USA . ScamPulse.com gave it an A+ rating . I proceeded to create an account through ANYDESK.com . and decided to invest the minimum of $320 USD ($411 CAD) . Then I received a call from a supposed account manager named David . He was trying to convince me to invest $3,000 That's when I realized that they had seen my banking info . I told him I didn't trust him and he tried to convince me otherwise . I demanded my money back but he kept trying to convince me that he was legit . I hung up , then contacted my bank . I informed my bank about the scam and they froze my accounts until I could change security codes etc. I also reported it to my credit card supplier and canceled my card . The next morning the scammers tried to contact me using a different phone number...1-613-515-2492 . I did not answer . They tried one more time but I did not answer .
