I received what appeared what appeared to be a legitimate email from Lowes saying I had won a reward. I go to Lowes here in Fort Payne Alabama almost weekly, so this appeared to be legitimate. I opened the link and looked at the list of approximately 10-12 different gifts to choose from and chose one. When I clicked on the item it opened and showed a page requesting personal information, shipping address and also requested a credit card for the shipping charges. It still looked legitimate, so I gave the info and clicked continue checkout. It stopped two times saying I had won additional gifts which I attempted to decline and thought I was finished. I immediately got three email receipts, one for $8.57 which was correct for the item I ordered. But there were two more receipts for $6.42 and $29.99 for items I did not attempt to buy. Their checkout is designed in a manner to be very deceitful and adds items without any verification from you. I immediately called my credit card company and reported the scam.
