A fraudulent Balinese Cat breeder emailed me to say that they now have a kitten available. The name of the company is Lovely Balinese Kittens. They sent a picture of the Balinese, asked for our address for shipping cost. Asked for payment first via Zelle which I now realize is known for fraudulent transactions. I used Zelle through my Chase account thinking it would be protected that way but Chase says they cannot help me as Zelle is considered Cash. We sent this scammer $600. I have screen shots and emails showing how after I paid, they became immediately strange and became even more manipulative once I asked for a refund. They even said they would refund me and when I requested a refund directly from them through Zelle, they declined my refund and blocked my number. My two little girls are devastated. They already name our new kitten Millie but instead of getting Mille, we lost $600 and a piece of my girls' innocence. My bank has been useless and has actually been condescending, essentially calling me a fool. I'm educated, I am a practicing physician. Yes in hindsight, I feel like a fool but I am not a fool. And no one has been willing to help.
