I was looking to purchase a Havanese puppy for my husband as a gift. The website seemed legit but as I began to talk with them the facts didn't line up. They never signed their name on email correspondence and wanted payment by money order. The grammar was bad and facts in the email did not line up with what was on the website. So I tested them. I told them my sister would be coming to pick up the puppy (which on their website was listed as ok) and they said no, we could not come and see the breeder location. They told me to sign a contract and send money and I refused, called them a scam and said I would report them to the BBB. They never responded again.
