Person said they wanted to buy my desk on Facebook Marketplace. They gave me their phone number and asked me to text/call them so they could arrange to pick it up that day. I text the person and they asked said they wanted to send me a 6 digit code to give back to them to make sure I was legitimate. I then blocked the number realizing this was some type of scam. When I Googled it, I found that it is a scam to get your phone number, so they can set up a Google VoIP account with your phone number to steal your identity.
