Case Description: This company called me, threatening me with arrest and charges in front of the DA, on a matter that was already resolved during my bankruptcy
This company called me, threatening me with arrest and charges in front of the DA, on a matter that was already resolved during my bankruptcy. I provided them with my bankruptcy details and they stated that the taxes on an 11 year old issue were still not resolved by my bankruptcy and that if I didn't pay immediately, they would have me arrested and charged by our local DA. They scared me into paying them, and have since then, called me 5-6 times daily, demanding more money. My attorney has since told me it is a scam and that everything prior to my bankruptcy has been resolved and that their harassment is illegal and can be reported to the police. I have had to file a complaint with my bank and shut my account down to prevent further unnecessary charges, yet, they still continue to harass me on a frequent and daily basis, calling both my home, cell and work numbers, non stop... always demanding more money. This is an absolute scam and people need to be made aware of their illegal and unethical business practices.
