This supposed "law firm" called me this morning with a recorded message saying that I was to call another number back or that my name, social security number, and case file was being turned over to the district attorney for prosecution. I called the number back and a a really rude woman answered had none of my real info and couldn't provide me any info on the "debt I owed." After informing her that I looked up the phone online and saw that it was scam before I called them she then told me to go f myself and that the police would be at my door (which she had no address for) by the end of the business day. No actual debt collectors or law firm would speak to anyone like that but the red flag was threatening the district attorney that would actually have no part of a civil suit. Don't listen to these people they're attempting to scam people out of their hard earned money hoping that someone will be scared enough to pay them.
