In late September to October 9th I was scammed by a woman I met online. We talked through plenty of fish then started to text. So, once we text she started to ask me for money. She seemed real and legit since she had multiple other pictures of herself. So I sent her about $1300 dollars through western union and money gram. Then she said she's going to send a check for the money I returned. I did receive the check and it turned out to be a bad check from Wells Fargo. I deposited the check before they detected it was a fraud. Now I am in debt with a negative balance of $-2,244.04. I am in desperate need of help and I don't know what else to do. I also gave the person number I got the check from and I filed a case on western union. Case #: 424*** Itzel 514 customer protection. The check I received has been sent to multiple people with the same name. I need help. I am a student at the University of Delaware and I am now broke. When the check went through she made me deposit the check in cash and buy amazon gift cards and send her the codes. I managed to save 4 out of the 5 gift cards I sent. This scam is putting ** *** *** and I need to get out.
