We received an invoice from Local City Business Search, CP 57546, Montreal Quebec H8N 3A4. Statements on it like *ACCOUNT CLOSED UPON RECETION OF FINAL PAYMENT AS DISCUSSED* If payment is not received by the required payment date, it will be considered a delinquent amount and will be subjet (yes that is how they spelled it) to a late payment charge of 2% per month. It came with a self addressed envelope for payment. No phone numbers attached but an e-mail address of [email protected] We have only one person authorized to approve advertising so we know this is a scam.

This scam tries to frustrate people who own business by charging for fake listing and search which is not known. It's even warning about the delay fee and it can be very embarrassing that I even got really frustrated because I got the mail on Sept. 28th, and the payment due date was Oct. 2nd.

We received an invoice from a company named "Local City Business Search" indicating a balance owing by us for a 411 directory service; however, we have never been in touch with this company. I tried to conduct a search on them via Google but did not find anything that proves them to be an actual reliable company. I have also tried to look up their GST/HST on the CRA GST/HST registry search and validation was unable to be provided. Hence we believe this is a scam.
