My son applied for a loan. They asked all personal info including his bank routing number and acct number. They asked his payday and if direct deposit. This was all in the initial application. He was then denied a loan. He gave all this info to them on line and should not have. Two days later he gets a call from someone at 512-402-3595 saying they are from LoanNow and they will loan him $8000. I checked that phone number and it is in Austin TX. They had all his banking info and were confirming it. They had the info and my son had not given them any info on the phone. The only person he gave the info to was the website claiming to be in CA. I called LoanNow in CA and they said they have no office in Austin. They have posted on their website of someone claiming to be them. I believe this website is fraudulent and the two are working together. They asked for every bit of personal information possible before even determining if my son qualified. Unfortunately my son fell into their lap with the info and when he told me about it, I checked into them. This is an illegal phishing website. My son has not lost money yet but has to have his bank acct closed.
