Offered to lower my goverment student loan. Took info. And put me on hold. I wad disconnected and call back number doesn't exist.

Called telling me they can forgive my student loans, although they asked for an upfront payment.

This person called to tell me about a student loan forgiveness program. I asked him who he worked for and he said the federal government. When I asked what agency, he skirted around the question. Then stated saying, what you don't believe me. I told him no. He began to ask me, don't you use this email and stated my email, I did not reply. Why won't you let me help you with your student loans, I said that I was not interested. He kept pressing me for more information and I asked him to remove me from his calling list. I must say though that in the last month, these people have been calling 4-6 times per week. Luckily, I know this is a scam but there may be other who may not. One gentleman last week, asked me to give him my password into Navient so he can "verify" what I owe. Of course, I declined but again, there may be others that may belive this.
