A woman called claiming to be from Loan at Last. She said she was calling in reference to a loan I took out with them and that she needed personal information before she could discuss the account. I told her I had not taken out any loan with Loan at Last. She became agitated and told me that I must be confused, that I took out a $1200 loan and that she was only trying to help me, but I needed to cooperate.

I believe this call was fraudulent for the following reasons:

1. Call came from a local number in my area code with no caller ID information.

2. Call-back to the caller's number gave a very sloppy recording of a human woman stating that the call volume was high and that my wait would be 10 minutes.

3. When the recording ended a woman came on the line immediately. I asked to be directed to the fraud department. She stated she would be happy to direct my call, but needed some personal information in order to open a case. I then heard a woman giggling in the background.

I got an email saying my loan was approved, but I never applied for one. I called to alert them, but the customer service rep wouldn't talk about the account until I gave her both my email address and my full SSN. My email and the last 4 of my SSN should have been enough to identify me and I told her as such but she wouldn't continue the call or let me tall to a manager until she got my full SSN.
