Approached over text message about a job offer for a virtual chat assistant position and instructed to download Telegram for the interview. I passed the interview, and was then instructed to deposit multiple checks to purchase "company branded materials" from various "vendors" by withdrawing cash to buy BitCoin via Coinstar vouchers, as well as buy/send BitCoin to various addresses via CashApp. I was then told to send screenshots of the proof, and send screenshots of the printed vouchers. This process took place multiple times, until the last two checks were "returned" after deposit and my account was put in the negative. The conversation history on Telegram was then deleted by the "HR Assistant," to leave me with no proof.
