Type of a scam: Phishing

Litmon Assets sent a letter to our business indicating that our company had unclaimed funds in the amount of greater than $50,000, and that they could retrieve these funds for us for a 20% fee. Language was incredibly vague and they included an agreement that, as far as I can tell, would be legitimate if we were unaware enough to sign and send back.

It has been over 6 months since my original response to this post and I have not heard anything back so that we can resolve this. This post has had a great negative impact on my company. I am assuming that you did not use a real name because I have no record of ever contacting a Gaylord Brakus. This is defamation. You have no proof of your claim and have hurt an honest person and business. Please contact me as soon as you can so that we can resolve this and I can restore a good name for my business that I have spent years building.
