I applied for a job through Facebook. It was for a personal assistant position. I was contacted by a man by the name of Richard James Lake Jr. via email/text. He told me a check would be mailed to my physical address and I was to immediately take the check and deposit it into my bank account and then send him a picture of the receipt once deposited. I did not lose any money or account information, but I did give my personal address to this person which makes me feel unsafe now due to the way I was instructed to handle this deposit. Something definitely felt off about the entire thing.
