I applied for a personal loan. I don't remember with which company, but after I got denied by them a started getting many pre-qualified offers in my email. I got a call from a company called Light Stream.they said I qualified for a loan of 3000 dollars. But to verify my bank they had to deposit 500 and I had to put that in a gift card and send them the picture of the back of the card. They explained to me that that was the only way I wouldn't be charged. I now owe the bank because it turned out to be a bad check. And am part of an investigation. Because they have done this before.

Scammer claimed he was from Lightstream and had a loan request for up to 8000 dollars. Used gift cards to scam me out of my cash, now have problem with bank.

Recieved call from a guy from light stream fiance and told me I was approved for 10,000. They asked for my account and social which they can boost my credit score as well. I was to with draw the amount out and send back to them to authenticate account. I did what i was instructed and when i called number back, it was a message that the number is no longer available so i called the other number and spoke with someone then samething. They stated the funds and released but a $150 wire fee is required in order to get funds. When i type in loan I'd number, it says not valid so I notified my bank and credit bureau. This is a scam.
