Lifetime Assist Reports & Reviews (4)

Lifetime Assist contacted me regarding student loan discharge. At the time the service they were offering seemed legitimate. They charged me a fee monthly to file a claim on my behalf in order to provide student loan debt relief. After numerous phone interviews and no resolution I did some more research and discovered that it was a scam. This company claims to provide a service with lawyers filing a claim for student loan debt relief but after more than six months they had not even filed a claim on my behalf. Unfortunately I was unable to get a refund from my bank because I authorized the charges and too much time had passed. Save your money and yourself some grief and never believe a company telling you they will get rid of your student loan debt or any debt for a fee. Lifetime Assist is a sham and they should be held accountable for taking advantage of vulnerable people.

Lifetime assist contacted me regarding student loan discharge. They claimed they would get my loans discharged within 12-18 months. I had regularly scheduled phone interviews to provide them information about my case while I was paying them every month for at least 6 months. After all that time passed they never even filed a claim on my behalf with The Department of Education. After visiting the department of educations website I realized this was a scam but was unable to receive a refund from my bank because I authorized the charges and too much time had passed. This company is a sham and all they want is your money. They are preying on vulnerable people and should be held accountable for the damage they have caused. Student loan discharge is free and you should never pay a company to file a claim on your behalf.

In June 2018, I hired Lifetime Assist to help with processing paperwork for student loans to be discharged. Their website and emails seemed to be legit. I was quoted a total of $1200 and a time frame of 12-18 months to be completed. I agreed to a payment plan of $150 for the first three months (July, Aug, Sept), then $107 for seven months (Oct-April). At the beginning, the processing department requested standard paperwork to be filled and were somewhat decent communicators. And payments were being processed with no problem through October as agreed (payments show on my bank statement as "RSL Fidelity Doc"). A week ago my payment for November was supposed to process for $107 but instead they double charged me $150, a total of $300. I have been trying to call four different phone numbers I have for them and sent two emails in hopes to reach someone that can assist. No one ever answers their phones and no one has replied to either of my emails. I have since filed a dispute with my bank for the double charge, been refunded, and I'm still waiting for Lifetime to notice and call me back. If I do not hear from them by December (ten days away), I plan to dispute all of the payments through July and get a full refund from my bank. They are not providing what I would consider service worth $1200.
