The Tax business is charging an insane amount of money to file simple tax returns. In this case the person was charged $616. When contacting Liberty Tax to see the cost for a simple tax return they replied it depends on the cost to file the forms. The business could not give a price on how much it cost for the service. They also withhold information about the different payment methods offered in an attempt to get people to pay the highest amount possible. The business is alluring people into accepting the amount they are charging. When the business was contacted to cancel the charge less than ten minutes after the charge was accepted they would not cancel it. The only solution they offered was a discount for next year at 300 dollars. When the business was called out on the scam they are running the owners made posts on facebook to discredit the person that was affected by the scam.
