I was contacted by phone by a woman claiming to work for franklin square financing and that the rules had changed for Veterans trying to use the equity in their homes. She was very convincing saying the rules had changed and that I now qualified for the program. I was transferred over to a Mr. Jacob Reed who seemed to have a lot of information about my house after I confirmed all the information, he also said I met all the qualifications.I was than referred to a Mr. Liam head of refinancing who instructed me to send in a copy of my mortgage statement and pay stub along with a contract that they emailed me and $1500 by fed ex to get the process started. The next day he called me and asked if he could cash the check (cashiers check) and proceed with the process I said yes and that was the last time I heard from him. The cashier check was addressed Franklin Square Financing.
