I got a text from which I thought was a home owner about a house from affordable housing. com saying i was approved for a house that's listed on affordable housing told me if i like the house contact him immediately so i did,then told me to send him a deposit of 1,000 i said i didn't have that much @ the time so he sad send what i have which was $500 then scrrenshot what i send& ill get a receipt then told me check my email from my section 8 worker about coming in to do paper work the following week but i wont get the house if i dont give the deposit 1st.i attempt to send the money it came back so i had to use my chime card to send it in a few day's cause i had to transfer it from my cashapp so once they got it he sent a receipt a few hrs later he told me his attorney has chime & i could send it there then once they got it i sent proof that i sent it,i got a receipt a few hrs later through text i called my landlord about coming to do paperwork & she didn't know what i was talking about .thats when she told me i was scammed he emailed me pretending to be my caseworker saying he was legit been known with them for 12yrs hes licensed etc.
