I got a call on Friday from Allen and David (foreigners) from Lending Point Loan Company. They said I was approved for a $5000 loan. They asked me to verify my account number, social security number. They said in order to be approved for the loan, they needed to deposit $490 and return it. They deposited a $490 check. I checked my moble app this morning to see if the bank had approved the check. I found my account was in arrears, and under review. The bank said it was a fraudulent check. I also got a call from a woman from Americas Loan Company saying I am approved for a loan and to call 864-657-5960. She had an accent as well.
