Caller stated calling from lending point to say I was approved for a loan.. asked for company website. They did provide correct website.. phone # they called from does not match phone # on website. I did in fact apply for a personal loan for lending point but it was denied and customer service rep (Laura) also agreed loan was denied with phone # 888- 969-0959. Asked scammer why phone # does not match phone # on website. Scammer stated 888 # is headquarters in Georgia and 323 # is center in Chicago Illinois. Advised 323 area code is a Los angels area code and scammer disconnected call. I actually called the 888 # and the stated that they do not use a 323 area code to reach out to potential customers and that indeed was a scam call.
