Initially when I spoke to the company I spoke to a woman who called saying I was guaranteed for a loan of up to 10000. I refuse she then goes on to explain that the loan is guaranteed from 2000 so I accept because I was offered a too good to be true 8% apr. from then I spoke to Amman named Andy who walked me through the process and part of this “process” was since my credit score is low, he explained that in order to get a loan I would have to prove to them that I can be trusted to make payments so basically he made it seem as I would have to allow them to deposit funds in my account then I will have to send them back at this point I only proceeded because this is common with m lending apps they typically use a similar method to verify account information. So this was all on Tuesday which is my graveyard shift night so I went to sleep and when I woke I had missed calls from them so I gave them a call back and this is when it all began to go sideways, so we’re on the phone and he tells me they deposited $205 and that was what I needed to send back but he told me to send him the money through cashapp as Bitcoin so I transferred it because at this point I’m under the impression that this is money from their company so first this. Then he tells me ok your money will be available in a few hours, never was, I call to check about it and I’m told that I would have to wait til the next day. So I wait , the next morning I talk to Andy once more this time he tells me that the ScamPulse.com and NY state revenue dept were accusing us of fraud due to the Bitcoin transfer so this is when I start to question it but my drive to get the loan was high so I was convinced that I needed to send them $200 dollars through a ebay gift card which was odd to me but I was told that it was to avoid fraud and there was no other way to receive my loan amount without sending this so they can pay a lawyer to handle the fraud with these departments. Then we stay on the phone after I sent the redemption code maybe 20 minutes he tells me that the lawyer has taken care of the situation he would transfer the funds into my account and we would be done, but that never happened. Next I’m told that when they attempted to put the funds in my account due to high number of funds being loaned at in general that the California dept of rev services has put a hold on the funds and that I would have to send 100 dollars in order to receive ve payment. I refuse and at This point I’m yelling through the phone I told them they were scamming me and the reason I broke and sent the next 100 was because I was give assurance that this would definitely be last time I sent something he as far as to say i have to be sure because if I’m not “ do I even have the right to do my job” I trusted Andy, he never disrespected me once even when i was going off and this was my last downfall so. After I sent the 100 I got a $789 check deposited into my account but the check was still on hold and still is on hold til may 6. So it’s been a few days since We had constant communication because after day 2 I felt it was a scam and I was just giving it time to develop before I did this to their company. But I got a call today, and I was no longer speaking with Andy it was a man named Jack Austin. Which when I heard his name it kind of cemented the scamming theory because of the thick middle eastern accent and the fact they were switching between companies different representatives didnt know anything about my loan at times. I still have a $789 check being held but I doubt I’ll get that ever, I stopped answering them and they have some information on me but I changed my bank info. So I honestly don’t know what next steps are.
