The name of the company was Legal Mediation Office in Springfield, MO. The phone number they asked us to call was: *** *** They are trying to say that we owe over $1000.00 to a company they represent. They had a name and the last four numbers of a SSN. They claimed the loan was from 2013 or before. They had the name an employer that she left in 2002. Ms. ***, the rep who took the call, said the loan company might or might not file fraud charges with our local court magistrate. If we hear nothing back within 10 days, we were to call Ms. *** back to hear the “final decision.” We called our bankruptcy lawyer who had run a full discovery of all our creditors in January, and this company was not on the list. The law office rep called the above number to ask for a complete written statement, but she was told WE would have to ask for it. We called and were told the LAWYER would receive a written statement WHEN a “motion of discovery” has been filed. We checked the phone number and found nothing.
