Legacy Preparation is a SCAM. Legacy Preparation company posed as a debt relief/mortgage lender that would negotiate on behalf me with my current lender in order to reduce my monthly payments or source their lender to provide a reduced monthly payment amount. They advised me to withhold paying my current lender as they would be contacting them in order to negotiate. They asked for a payment upfront and then 2 monthly payments thereafter. While I was not paying the lender and their amount was lower than my current mortgage, it seemed doable. I send a ton of personal information to them and even got on the line with my lender to authorize them on my mortgage account. I did not realize that would cause all correspondence to go to them and not me. Once I became three months behind on payments, my lender reached out and offered a reduced payment amount (through NO negotiations by Legacy Preparation) and that if I meet that for three months, then my payment amount would remain at the lower amount. My credit score is much lower, I'm out $3345.00 and 3 months behind on my mortgage due to Legacy Preparation. I can no longer get in touch with Michael Laguana/Jessica Lopez or anyone there via phone nor email.
