I understand Legacy Pharma Solutions is most likely a real company, but this job sounded too good to be true from the start. They were offering $20/hr for training and $40/hr for full time hires afterwards. It was for a social media content marketing position and it really sounded like a great opportunity. The interview process never had me speaking with a real person once - it was a text based interview hosted through skype which was still not all that bad. It was when they deposited a fairly hefty check into my account to pay for the remote work equipment through their "company trusted vendor" (which they mentioned in those words quite often) that things started to go awry. It was a check that had been emailed and I had to print out which I thought was odd but didn't really think much of it. The money sat in my "Current Balance" and I wanted to wait until it reached my "Available Balance" to make any purchases, and even though I kept telling the interviewer this he would not believe me. They wanted me to make a $1,000 payment to a zelle email account immediately, which I also told him would have to wait until I could use their funds and not mine. It ended with him calling me a liar and threatening to report me for fraud and have me arrested. After going back and forth and constantly being threatened with arrest, and realizing that I had put more work in for free than what they were probably going to pay me for, I told my bank to return the money. This is when I began accusing the company of fraud and saying I'd be reporting them as well. This prompted him to immediately call me, apologize, and politely ask that I return the money (despite me constantly trying to give it back and him telling me I was going to jail). Maybe it wasn't a scam, but I definitely did not feel comfortable or like the attitude of the sole employee I had interacted with (I literally was unable to talk to anyone else). Legacy Pharma Solutions based in St. Louis MO - they might be real but watch out for any "too good to be true" offers.
