I had received an email from a Mr Lee Inglett in response to a job posting I had applied to on LinkedIn. This is what he wrote…

Thank you for your email indicating your interest. The job position you applied for has been filled. However, It would be a great pleasure to have you on-board working for me as my Personal Assistant due to your background and experience. My name is Lee Inglett, from PACKEX, LLC. I'm looking for a reliable, punctual and trustworthy person who can handle my business and personal errands, I reviewed your resume and I am impressed. Your background and experience most closely fit the needs of a Personal Assistant. This is intended to be a long term/permanent job depending on how the first few months go.

Your duties will include:

1. Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office

2. Scheduling programs, flights and keeping me up to date with them.

3. Acting as an alternative telephone correspondence while I'm away.

4. Making financial donations to charitable organizations on my behalf.

This position is remote and not office-based and does not require you to leave your current employment or evacuate your convenience. This position is flexible and you can work from any location, working with me is basically about instructions and following them. Instructions will be given via text or email and You will be paid in advance for all tasks and purchases to be done. Pay is $1250 a week and you get paid every two weeks.

I'm 59 years old. I am a member of the board of directors of several companies and other charity foundations. I travel a lot and get my hands occupied working in and out of the country, so it is imperative for me to have a worthy Personal Assistant who can monitor and keep me up to date with my activities. I am currently away in Hawaii where I have been holding meetings with partners. .

Congratulations. I can confirm that you have successfully passed the checks and are now confirmed for this position. I am quite impressed with your resume which is the main reason why I have offered you this position.All necessary paperwork will be completed once I return.

Your quick response and effectiveness will be required. To put your ability to test, I need you to run the first week's personal errand or assignment which is to serve as virtual payroll assistant and you will be instructed via email. Your first pay comes a week after the first assignment has been completed.

I am very busy on this trip and only have access to wifi in my hotel or when i am in an office so i wouldn’t be reachable at all times.

After that I had decided to not respond anymore because of how invasive it felt. Unfortunately because of me needing a job I did inform him of my address. But what sucks for him is that I don’t have any money to steal from. So joke is on him.

I did receive a 2 day paid for USPS package with a check inside for $3,109.00.

Once I saw the check I knew something was up and did my research. I’m so happy someone else has posted about this issue because it helped me to not deposit the check. THE CHECK WILL NOT GO THROUGH DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! I’m now reporting it on here and handing the information over to the police to rid myself of this lesson learned.
