Contacted my father about a supposed debt from 2003. And they’d settle if he paid in full today. Called and told him he must be home to sign a letter being delivered by DHS for a lawsuit. They have been contacting him every day and also myself and my mother(his ex-wife) They say the debt is from Northstar Acquisitions also in Dallas. Cannot find anything on google about both of these company’s. One address pops up a wedding venue in Dallas Texas. The woman who called from “DBS” pops up a local number from where I’m at in Illinois. We told them nothing was ever on a credit report for this debt at any time also we called the bank the supposed credit card was from. They had told us it won’t show up on a credit report because that’s considered “double jeopardy” and also if we were to call the bank we’d have to ask about a change of title. The bank (BOA) has never heard of such a thing and also my father Has NEVER had an account with them they confirmed. WATCH OUT FOR THESE SCAMMERS. Working our best to try to catch them. Froze all of my fathers credit from all 3 bureaus.
