I purchased a washer and dryer from a scam artist under the name Lauryn Williams on Facebook Marketplace. She seemed knowledgeable about the product, and we had negotiated a price, but she asked for a deposit from me, to deliver from Auburn Hills, MI (where she was supposedly located) to where I was. Shortly after I paid the deposit for the items, she deleted the listing from Facebook, blocked me from her personal profile, “left” our conversation on Messenger, took my money, and was never heard from again. If you see an item for sale from Lauryn Williams (her location is Rochester Hills) beware that it is likely a scam.
