Originally received an email through my *** ** *** College account. The email offers self motivated individuals an opportunity to earn $300/week working from home. They ask for your full name, address, DOB, and email address. Afterwards some fake contract was emailed to me to reply I agree. Two weeks went by and then I received and check in the mail for $1650 by USPS. The sender was from a PO box in Texas but the number that texted me from was area code (717) Pennsylvania. I called the number no response as I later found out it was listed as private. I found the check to be fraudulent by contacting the bank it was drawn upon and the company. The company said they hadn't issued any such check. And the name on the bank account was Carey something.
