In July 2022 I went to laser away for a consultation on tattoo removal. They walked me through a process that said it would take about a year and a half to complete and should required about 8 sessions once every 6-8 weeks. Laser away takes photos of your tattoo before every session, so I reached out to get copies of those photos and they informed me that I would have to pay for them, even though they are photographs of my body. I have gone to these extremely painful eight appointments for a year and a half now and there is no improvement on my tattoo removal. I consulted with a plastic surgeon who specializes in tattoo removal and he confirmed that this process should have been completed by now and that there was no way they were completing this process in good faith. I went to the location where I've been getting my sessions and told them I was concerned this very expensive process was intentionally prolonged for the hope of me needing to pay for more sessions. I also mentioned that charging me for my progress photos was absurd. One of the head nurses at the facility allowed me to take a screenshot of the photos, but she took me into another room to do so because she "didn't want the cameras to see what she was doing". She then sat me down to look at the photos and acknowledged that little progress was made. She said this is because I was going to sessions 6-8 weeks apart instead of 3 months apart. When the staff told me in my consultation to wait 6-8 weeks, I assumed they knew what they were saying. The nurses (who should know the proper waiting time) schedule these appointments for me. The head nurse said they must've made a mistake. A 17 month long mistake. With the plastic surgeon consultation he said 3 months is way too long a waiting period. He also mentioned that my tattoo falls in the category of easily removed given its small size, lack of color and age. The laser away nurse encouraged me to get more sessions and promised it would be gone soon. For such a sensitive process, I hoped that the employees of laser away would be qualified. They have charged a large amount of money for a process they had no intention of solving. Instead I had unqualified employees giving me false information and operating a dangerous machine on my body. When I started to notice an issue I reviewed this company on the ScamPulse.com site (too late unfortunately) and found hundreds of people submitting complaints about laser aways corrupt business practices. This place is a scam and they are taking advantage of people trying to fix sensitive problems. Honestly I'm disgusted by the employees and the company.
